Goddard Youth Camp is 44-building camp that includes residential cabins, teaching and meeting spaces, and a large dining hall. Five maintained natural trails take visitors through a range of environments. We offer residential environmental education for public and private school groups and summer camps for churches and youth organizations. We also have an amazing natural history museum that can enhance camp weeks or serve as an awesome field trip designation.
Our annual summer camp is the highlight of our summer. Students and sponsors are entertained by many events like hiking, fishing, lake activities, boating, swimming, archery, laser tag, and much more! Students spend the week learning and engaging with environments around them and learning more about themselves and their relationship with their creator.
Fourth, fifth, and sixth grade school groups spend three or five days at the camp for memorable environmental education lessons in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area’s vast diversity of natural resources. Over the last 48 years, more than 250,000 young people have attended Goddard Youth Camp’s three-day or five-day residential education program. Developed to meet state environmental education standards, the curriculum takes advantage of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area’s vast diversity of natural resources. For many of the campers coming to Goddard Youth Camp from cities and large towns, the entire experience is eye opening and life changing.
