Goddard Youth Camp Virtual Tours

Who are we?

Goddard Youth Camp is a national environmental education landmark. We have provided environmental education to tens of thousands of campers over the course of 52 years. We are a resident camp, up to 200 students at a time stay with us for our 3 to 5 day sessions right here in our 600 acre outdoor classroom. Our average tenure among attending schools is 17 years, with four schools coming faithfully for over 30 years. We even have two school districts that come an entire month in order to give all their students the camp goddard experience. We have been offering environmental education longer than anyone in the United States.

It’s no secret, this current political and health climate has made it difficult for schools to attend their beloved camp Goddard in person, and many of the schools that want to visit Camp Goddard have also been limited by distance and logistics. Therefore, we have produced a groundbreaking curriculum that allows anyone to visit Camp Goddard virtually!

Come take a virtual hike, experience and explore our unique outdoor classroom filled with informative in-depth video lessons and features throughout.

Whether public school, private school, homeschool or distance learning, we are now available to you and want to be a part of your earth science education.

We want to hear from you. Feel free to call or email us with any questions you may have. We look foreword to talking with you about how we can get Goddard Youth Camp into your classroom.

On this trail we will cover topics including various water resources, surface and ground water, river and lake ecology, aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, pathways of water, the hydrologic cycle and and waste water disposal.

The diversity of distinct and observable geological features at Goddard Youth Camp is second to none. On this trail we will discover the processes of mountain formation and deformation, the relationship of ancient sees and rock layering, a variety of topographical formations, how fossils are formed and fossil collecting and identification.

Man and Envirnoment

Positioned alongside a deciduous forrest and a man made reservoir, our relationship to this environment can be observed right before our eyes. This trail is a look at the various parts of the Earth's biosphere including areas of focus such as forrest organization, soil formation, contrasting natural environments as well as a look at the essential resources in our environment.

Cedar Canyon

Arguably our most challenging trail and a universal favorite, Cedar Canyon is a conglomerate of all of our other trails. We will discuss geological history, weathering and erosion, the life cycles of lakes, rivers and steams, our relationship to the forrest, tree identification, as well as observe the many exposed fossil barring rock layers along the way.
